Nature Filled Summer Camp Adventures Ahead

At Junie B. Farms, our summer camp in Monroe, GA, offers a unique opportunity for children to immerse themselves in the joy of nature, gardening, and the care of Nigerian dwarf goats. Our summer camp provides a serene setting where kids can learn hands-on skills and appreciate the beauty of farm life. From interacting with our friendly goats to growing their own garden, every day at camp is filled with adventure and learning. Join us in Monroe for an unforgettable summer camp experience.

Our goal is to inspire a sense of responsibility and wonder in children by connecting them to the joys of farm life. By planting the seeds of stewardship, we empower kids to grow into curious, compassionate, and environmentally conscious individuals.

  • What is the "Farm and Garden" Camp?

    The "Farm and Garden" Camp is a unique summer camp experience that offers a blend of nature, gardening, and Nigerian dwarf goat care. Our camp is designed for children in 1st-7th grades and provides a serene setting for kids to learn hands-on skills and appreciate the beauty of farm life.



  • What are the camp details?

    • Open to children in 1st–7th grades
    • Multiple weeks available for sign-up
    • Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9:00-12:00 p.m.
    • Drop off at 8:45
    • Maximum of 12 campers per session
    • A certified teacher with 27 years of experience who holds a state license oversees the camp.
    • Teenage camp assistants will also be present
  • What activities will we do at camp?

    • Learn how to care for adult and kid goats on the farm
    • Milk goats to make goat cheese
    • Bottle-feed baby goats
    • Make goat toys for goats to be entertained
    • Learn how to grow a garden
    • Plant seeds and transplant vegetables
    • Learn about Native American culture and how to plant "Three Sisters Crops."
    • Learn how to harvest different crops
    • Cook and eat snacks from foods grown in our garden
    • Prepare vegetables to be donated to families in need
    • Make new friends and create wonderful memories
  • What is a typical day at camp like?

    • 9:00 - Campers arrive
    • 9:15 - Opening Circle time with the whole group to discuss the activities for the day
    • 9:30 - Farm animal activities, garden lesson, and activities
    • 10:00 - Activity 1: Garden harvesting/planting/lesson
    • 10:45 - Cooking Lesson: Garden Activity (whole group eating and games)
    • 11:00 - Activity 2: Goats (Goat challenge activities, crafts, building designs for goats or certain theme days)
    • 12:00 - Pick-up time
  • How much does the camp cost?

    The fee for our summer camp sessions is $180 for a full week. A $80 deposit is due at the time of registration, with the remaining balance of $100 due on the first day of camp.

Junie B. Farms, established in 2019, is a tranquil haven where families and children can connect with nature. Our Nigerian dwarf goat herd, registered with the American Dairy Association, is small but growing, with all goats tested negative for common diseases and up-to-date on vaccinations and worming. We prioritize their health with a nutritious diet of fresh Timothy Hay, Alfalfa, grains, and loose minerals, and they love treats like sunflower seeds, beet pulp shreds, and cherries. As beloved members of our family, our goats offer unconditional love and are always happy to provide goat therapy to visitors; feel free to stop by and meet them anytime!
